  • Cure fever by eating less
  • There’s an old saying that “you should starve a fever and feed a cold”. Not true! Going without food when you’re hungry will make things worse. Even if you aren’t hungry, staying hydrated is crucial. So try for light juices, smoothies, or broths.

  • Flu shot assures immunity against all type of viruses
  • The virus may become resistance and non-responsive to vaccines after a period. So, flu shot taken once does not guarantee immunity against all kinds of viruses.

  • You can catch flu from the flu vaccine
  • There is a misconception about getting the flu from the flu shot. The virus present in the flu shot is in an inactive form, and cannot cause the flu. Unless the flu shot is not maintained under controlled temperature.

  • If you get the flu shot too early, the immunity will “wear off” before flu season is over
  • There is no evidence that getting your flu shot early will mean the immunity wears off, or that getting your flu-shot twice in one single season can give more immunity.

It ‘s hard to keep yourself protected from flu viruses. The best way to avoid the flu is to avoid exposure to these viruses. The most common medium of transmission is through hands, mouth and nose. If you keep these germs away from sensory organs, you are less prone to cold and flu.
